Thank you Eben for sharing the replay of the webinar, I am grateful I got to see it. The stories were very touching and heartfelt.
Scott is a superstar, all the great work he is doing is so courageous and beautiful.
And you are beautiful for doing your part in creating the space for him to share what he does. Thank you and Enjoy your Happy Birthday!
I wanted to thank you for the bottom of my heart for bringing this amazing presentation to us and helping raise awareness for this deep need for support of this movement and organization.
No one on this planet should not have access to clean water. That is a fundamental human need. The pictures are award winning quality and tugged at my heart strings.
I have been spreading the word around via my Facebook and Twitter following, and will continue to do so. I’ve donated, and I’m having a birthday in a few weeks so we’ll see about doing something like you did.
Thanks for sharing…you are a good friend and spiritual brother, and please let me know how I can serve.
I’m grateful that you posted this replay since I couldn’t make
the live event.
Like you, I experienced a flood of emotions watching Scott’s
presentation. I’ve seen a number of people talking about
bringing clean water to Africa on Twitter. Until now, I had
no context to put it in.
Scott’s personal transformation is quite inspiring and his
dedication is motivational. Your willingness to lend your
platform and reach to such a noble and important cause
speaks volumes about the adjustment you’re making in
your own life trajectory.
Eban! Thank you so much for inviting me to your birthday celebration online. Scott’s presentation moved me to action. I went to the Charitywater.org site and poked around there to learn more about his project and discovered that I too could have a birthday celebration that would have some meaning and affect many people in a positive way at the same time.
Since my birthday is in September I felt inspired to join the fund raising effort by sponsoring my own well project by raising $5,000 from my friends and family. They really have their act together on this. They will publish a site page for my fundraiser where anyone can go and make a donation to my project. All I need to do is promote the project and send people there. They handle it all and 100% of the money goes to the project.
Everyone should have good drinking water. I challenge everyone to give up their birthday for a very worthy cause. It’s easy and I even have about nine months to raise the money. Who knows, maybe I can sponsor a few wells in that time!
Thank you for sharing this. It is so humbling and makes me realize that the effects of the downturn in our economy, are so minimally difficult compared to what others on our planet face each day. I want to make a difference beyond my bubble-life!
My heart, my heart, My heart crys out for these.
Honestly, when he said he had to walk away, I also had to pause at the cleft lip section.
It boggles the mind.
Personally I’ve, been in homeless situations, and kids have always had my softest most tender compassion. And I know it happens here in the US as well.
So I’m checking out. http://www.feedthechildren.org now.
This was so inspiring. I keep a gratitude log and after a while I noticed that one of the things I was most grateful for each day was a glass of pure, clear and refreshing water to drink, and unless we do think about it we do take it for granted. I agree with the other person who made the same comment, that everyone in the whole world should have access to clean, fresh water to drink, and it is up to us, to bring that about.
Keep up the great work. I will be donating and I also ask how I can contribute?

Hey Eben,
What a meaningful heartfelt way to celebrate your birthday. I just started following your personal blog after the Get Altitude launch this weekend. I read your entry of your conversation with Getachow, then watched the video about your birthday cause.
Scott’s life story, and how he arrived where he is now, is moving. The presentation about real life conditions of poverty in Africa, and the action taking place by Scott’s efforts is miraculous. The awareness of this issue from the presentation, has my consciousness stirred up.
The simplicity of clean water that masses of people are not getting in Africa, is shocking.
Happy Belated Birthday Eben, thank you for getting this information to our hearts and minds…..
